On the Verge of Becoming

This painting captures a powerful, suspended moment in nature. A storm descends from high in the sky while, along the horizon, another rises from the distance. In witnessing this convergence, I was reminded of The Creation of Adam by Michelangelo—that iconic instant when Adam stretches toward God, their fingers nearly touching, time suspended in a charged and eternal pause. Similarly, the storm clouds embody a moment of connection just before contact, where energy gathers and possibility expands.
Through this work, I explore the quiet yet immense power of nature—its ability to evoke human emotion, spiritual longing, and the tension of becoming. The rolling clouds become both physical and symbolic, capturing a fleeting instant where forces meet, hesitate, and transform.
